  • Connect the modem to the WLAN port of the router using an Ethernet cable. Make sure that the connections are made properly.
  • Connect the device that you are using to setup the router to any of the LAN ports of the router using an Ethernet cable. Make sure that the connections are made properly on either ends.

  • Launch an internet browser of your choice from a device that is connected to the Netgear router. It is advised that the device is connected via an Ethernet cable for the firmware update process.

  • You will be taken to the login page of the router. The login page will then prompt you to type in the default username and password for the router.

  • The Setup Wizard will open up. Click ADVANCED. Then click Administration.
